The Javan Tiger

•   The Javan tiger only inhabited the Island of West Java.
•    The Javan tiger was confirmed extinct on December 25th, 1999
•    Unlike most animals that are extinct the Javan Tiger was hunted extinct, the last killing took place on December 25th, 1999. The tiger was killed by a hiker on Mount Janka.
•    The Javan government confirmed on January 11, 1979 only three tigers existed.
•    Javan tigers are only 6”6 in length.
•    In 1940 Javan tigers were forced into West Java's rainforests, not their usual habitat.
•    Adult Javan tigers are at least 247 pounds to 501 pounds.
•    The Javan cubs will weigh 9 pounds at birth and 134 at age
