Bush Baby
text: Sage (Northville, USA)
A Bush Baby is an animal that has three names: Galagos, Bush Babies, and Nagapies (meaning "Little Night Monkeys"). They live in Africa and in South Africa too. The Galagos family is called "Galagidae" and also are a part of the Lorisdae or Loridae. Those Bush babies are nocturnal, which means they are active during the night. They are agile leapers and run swiftly on tree branches. Galagos have large eyes that give them very good vision during the night.
The Bush babies diet is a mixture of bugs and other small animals, fruit, and tree gum. When bush babies are born their eyes are half closed half open and unable to move independently. After a few days mothers carry the baby animal in their mouths and places on a branch while feeding.
A Galago has soft, wooly fur and a very long tail. Its fingers, toes, palms, and soles have fleshy pads that help it grasp tree branches and trunks. Galogos use their paws to seize prey and handle objects. Also Bush babies can jump over 6 ½ feet (two meters). That is the bush baby and you can find more info online.
