Once there was a kitten named Ginger. She was a yellow and white striped cat that was a stray. Ginger loved playing in water. Ginger would fit in the palm of your hand.

Since she lived by the beach, she loved to go swimming every single day. Though, she had never seen any sea-creatures. By then Ginger knew how to swim but never told anyone.

One day at the beach she saw a big purple creature floating toward her. The purple creature had a lot of arms. Ginger got very scared when it crept out of the water.

Ginger asked: " Please don't hurt me!"
The purple creature said: " I won't hurt you I just need your help."

The purple creature needed Ginger's help because the mer-cat village was under attack and the princess's ring was stolen. They caught the thief but he dropped the ring into a vent in the princess's room. It was so small not even he, the thief himself, could get the ring back.
The purple creature asked Ginger after telling her the story: " Can you get the ring back?"
Ginger answered: " Yes I will, but before I do, what is your name?"
The purple creature said: "I will tell you once you get the ring because it has the power to protect our village."
The purple creature gave Ginger gills so she could breath under the water. Ginger dove down, and once she was seen in the water by other creatures, she was attacked.

They put Ginger in the mer-cat jail, to rest for a million years. In her jail cell there was a vent. She went through the vent and saw something glimmering a few yards away. She walked toward the glimmering thing and picked it up, and realized it was the ring!

She also realized that the vent was in the princess's room. She went through the vent in to the princess's room and saved the day by giving the ring to the princess who was lying on her bed. The princess thanked her and wanted to show her something.
They went out of the door and became pat of the royal parade. The princess gave Ginger the ring back.
Ginger said: "Why are you giving me the ring back?"

The princess answered: "You deserve it Ginger, you are my daughter of course." After the family reunion for Ginger now having her mother, the purple creature came back and said his name was Oreo.

Ginger said: "That is funny; my dad's name is Oreo too." Oreo winked at Ginger and then Ginger yelled "Dad!"

The reason that Ginger's dad was a purple creature was because a mer-witch-cat had cast a spell on him.

Ginger her mom and dad ruled the mer- cat village with peace and happiness. They all lived happily ever after!
